Maybe because I’m tall, I am drawn toward tall women. It took me a long time to learn how to style myself properly. I didn’t understand, for example, that the average waistline on a dress was too high on my torso! Jenna Lyons, who runs JCrew, is someone I admire immensely. (She’s also a huge reason why my wardrobe is experiencing a pants Renaissance lately.) She is understated, cool, stylish, and I like how she never seems like she’s a snob when she isn’t wearing JCrew and she never looks like she’s shilling for the brand when she is.
