After weeks of sifting through dozens of amazing essays and illustrations, tweaking the design and shooting the cover, we’re happy to announce that the first issue of GIRL CRUSH ZINE is officially a wrap! We closed the issue earlier this month—with the help of several bottles of wine, deliveries from Seamless Web and the occasional detour on Turntable.fm, of course.

We are thrilled to announce our incredibly talented roster of contributors, including Mary H.K. Choi, Sadie Stein, Emma Straub, Jennifer Egan, Maris Kreizman, Amanda Fortini, DJ Tanner, Starlee Kine, Leanne Shapton, and Andi Teran, among many lovely others. We’ll be posting excerpts and outtakes from our favorite submissions here on Tumblr until the print version is released in August.

We’re finalizing our production plans and starting to plan our launch party, which we are aiming to have in early August. Stay tuned for more details!
